About Us

As a couple who married later in life, Shane and I faced challenges becoming pregnant. We sought help through infertility treatments and were very fortunate to have success with our first round of IVF.  On June 16, 2013, which happened to be Father’s Day, we found out that I was pregnant with Luke. He was magic from the very beginning. I had wanted to be a mom more than anything so this was truly one of the happiest days of my life. When that big blue-eyed baby boy was born on February 20, 2014 life as we knew it would never be the same and neither of us could have ever imagined the magnitude of love we would have for that little boy.  Our hearts were so full and we cherished every second of being his parents. We got to have a Mother’s Day and a Father’s Day and we had an amazing Christmas and a big party to celebrate Luke‘s 1st Birthday! All was right in the world ...until the impossible happened. Luke was diagnosed with cancer at only 13 months old and if that wasn’t bad enough, it was a very rare, aggressive cancer that the statistics for survival were extremely low. We all fought so hard truly believing that he would be the miracle. We all became warriors in this fight for Luke.  We were surrounded by so much support from the community and we had an amazing team of doctors and nurses taking the very best care of him. He managed to smile through 4 months of surgeries, chemo, and radiation. He was so resilient, the bravest boy in the world. We all would have given anything to save him but his little body was so tired and he passed away on August 12, 2015, in Shane and my arms.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE

We didn’t realize it then, but we still got our miracle. Our little warrior is changing the world. He had such an impact on all who knew him, and he inspired a movement to Pay It Forward as we’ve never seen before. His little life and all the goodness he represented bring out the very best in people. It was the greatest honor to be his parents, and it is truly humbling to continue his legacy through the Love 4 Luke Corporation.

In December of 2017, we welcomed Luke’s little sisters, Riley and Kelsey. We know that he handpicked them just for

us. We see so much of him in them, and that has been an incredible gift. Luke will continue to keep changing the world through our family and this very special foundation. Our mission is to help provide financial assistance and support for people facing significant medical or personal challenges. We hope to continue to raise funds to help ease the burden for these families when they need it the most. Your support of the Love 4 Luke Corporation would mean the world to us, and we would be so grateful if you would join us in our efforts to be a light in this world in honor of Luke.
